As older drivers, we want to enjoy driving as long as we can. That means staying aware of such things as our physical limitations and changes in the law that may affect our licenses.

REFLECT ON THIS:
When changing lanes use your rear-view mirror and side mirrors. Also, perform “over the shoulder” checks to determine if the lane is clear.
STOP OR GO?
Aging eventually affects everyone’s driving. When strength, vision, hearing and reaction time diminish it could be a signal it’s time to stop driving, or that we should find a means to compensate. It’s essential that older adults stay alert to such normal changes and how they affect driving safety.
KNOW YOUR CAR:
Proper maintenance is paramount to safety on the road. Make sure that the tire pressure, fluid levels, and overall health of your vehicle are in excellent condition. It could save your life.
